Flathead Valley
The Flathead Valley has long been touted for its breathtaking vistas and recreational opportunities. Lakes and mountain abound, and the adventurous are in heaven when they arrive. Blacktail Mountain and Big Mountain provide both winter and summer sports, and Glacier Park is an unbelievable place for adventure. Each season offers breathtaking opportunity to experience the millions of acres of mountains, forests, lakes and rivers that surround Whitefish in every direction.  
Head north of Kalispell, and you’ll run into the quaint town of Whitefish. Known for its extensive tourism for both US and Canadian visitors, Whitefish offers fun downtown shopping, Whitefish Mountain Resort (better known to the locals as Big Mountain), and Whitefish Lake. From summertime boating and water skiing, to snowboarding and dog sledding in the winter, Whitefish is prepped for your enjoyment!

Columbia Falls sits northeast of Kalispell, and is the gateway to Glacier Park. With a population less than 5,000 it is easy to be a part of the community. Once in Glacier , you’ll have an abundance of activities to choose from. Hiking, camping, boating, fishing, heli-tours and horseback riding are but a few of the unlimited options available in the Park.

Tucked away on the West Shore of Flathead Lake, at the foot of Blacktail Mountain are the charming communities of Lakeside & Somers . These picturesque towns offer sailing, boating, fishing and more in the summer, along with fresh powder for novice or skilled skiers and snowboarders in the winter. At Blacktail Mountain everyone starts at the top and takes in breath taking views, before making their way to the chair lift.

Bigfork is located on the East Shore of Flathead Lake , the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, & is brimming with art & theatre.  
Bigfork is one of the most charming communities in the Flathead Valley. With fresh water in every direction, countless outdoor pursuits, world-class art galleries, and the “theatre by the bay,” the Bigfork Summer Playhouse who is a recipient of the Montana Governor’s Award for the Arts and boasts an OSCAR winner among our BSP alumni. Nestled in the Chain of Lakes area west of Kalispell along Highway 2, Kila and Marion are a bit of a secret.  Not as well known as their sister cities of the Flathead Valley, these two communities offer a slower pace welcomed by those escaping heavy populations and noise pollution. Dazzling lakes renowned for their trophy fishing appear around every bend, as do miles of riding trails, and peaceful camp grounds. The lakes in the area are typically less windy than other areas, making them ideal for water sports enthusiasts, so you can fish, paddle board, kayak, ski and wake surf to your heart’s content.
